Ok...i left my truck home to be painted...i left for business for a week. It turns out it was raining all week so my truck just sat there. When i came back...i got ready for the beach and my damn truck wont stay on!!!
Ok ok...it turns on...but it QUICKLY dies out...the only way to keep it alive is by stepping on the gas...but as soon as i let go...RPMs plummit to 0. Whats going on???
Oh...does anyone know if there is a relay behind the dashboard for the 4x4. You know, you here the click click soung when you are engaging...so im guessing yes...but does anyone know for sure?
Sounds like the idle air control valve (IAC). You can pull it and clean with brake parts cleaner which may or may not help or just replace it. I cleaned mine with brake parts cleaner and a little brush I made that fit down inside the holes so I could scrub it a little. It worked great afterwards.
