Superchips is pretty good all around, slight increase in power and mostly in the lower range, I would say a huge difference in the shifting points of you transmission, nice firm shifting. If you like to go fast it eliminates your speed limiter also.

Dont expect to get better mileage with a chip. I forgot to mention also that you have to use premium fuel in your vehicle, you may want to wait until gas prices lower before commiting to a chip. The easiest way to to get better mileage is to go the speed limit, and no rabbit starts, trust me I noticed a difference.
I use the diablosport Predator tuner in my 01. I use the 87 octane setting and the throttle reponce is much better and it gets a little better mileage too since the engine isn't working as hard.
I have the Superchips Microtuner 1715 for my 2000 5.4. The transmission shifts 100% better. As far as performance is concerned, there is no seat of the pants difference between 93 and 87.
I Installed A Predator Tune In The 01' Screw 4x4 5.4l And Went From 12mpg To 15mpg. But....i Had Installed The Tune And A New Exhaust System At The Same Time. Power Wise...i Don't Know. I Drive Like A Slug.

How can you be getting 12 - 15 mpg when mine is totally stock and I average 20 mpg and 22-23 on the highway, 2003 supercrew 5.4 3:73 rearend, my 98 with a 5.4 3:55 gears was almost identical. I dont understand?????? unless you drive that like you stole it and drive 80mph everywhere.
Ya me too...I think some of us are talking major difrences if we say us gallon 3.78 litres..........impierial gallon 4.2 litres.....Miles or kilometers. This site is mixed canadian and american.Nobody seems to think it is important to state this when talking miliage.Am i wrong here??????????I'm getting 19 average city hwy.3.73,5.4,4x4......I don't know what there doing wrong .
All American!!!!!! Just kidding, but I was in Walmart the other day and I live in Cleveland Ohio and the over head speaker in the store was talking in spanish. I guess it doesn't matter where we live anymore. By the way my stock 5.4L Screw 4x4 gets 17-19 MPG and that is running 75 MPH on the highway, I got heavy shoes.
I wish I got that that mileage. Not that I bought a truck for gas mileage, but I get about 12.5 mpg. '01 7700 5.4 4R100 10.25" 3.73's 4x4.
Btw, if one were talking distance per gallon from Canada, would they not be talking kilometerage per gallon instead of miles per gallon? JK.
I have a chipped 97 F150 4x2 5.4 & 3.55 gears. I get 16 in the city & about 19 highway. I gained te most mileage with my Efans. My chip is custom burned to go with the mods I have. I get better mpg with the chip if I drive right

Btw its litres per 100kms is how its measured in the metric system.
Supertuner installed. No changes to the tire size or exhaust and she has 100K on her now. Better torque at low rpm and better shifting. Top speed limiter is removed and tops out about 115 mph. Mileage is usually a solid 14 mpg with the premium. Highest mpg has been 16 but that was only once. 12-15 mpg is average.
