explorer towing
i need to tow a neon 150 miles with a car dolly [hitch with a set of wheels to lift the front wheels]. my 2000 explorer has a place on the bumper for the ball and the bumper says it is rated for 3500 gvw. i see a plug for the lights off the rear quarter drivers side. any problem with towing this light car with stock bumper hitch?

Well The Explorer should handle it so long as you dont exceed that weight. I agree with Steina thou.. you'll have a problem adjusting the height of the dolly with a bumper hitch. Oh, don't try renting a tow dolly... none of the big rental places will rent to an Explorer. When you tow be sure sure to stay out of automatic O/D.
