Cruie Control
I have an 04 work truck with the 6.0 and was wondering if there is a way to install cruise control, I had another service truck with a cat in it and there was a way to tap into the wiring to install cruise yourself and was wondering if I could do it to this one ?? Thanks.

hey I have never done this but one of the guys I worked with did alot of that kind of stuff. The newer cruse controls are contorled by an electornic servo. We had kits at work that he used to add cruse. On the newer trucks the only thing he had to install was the switch. I wana say that the harness was already there but Im not sure on that one. But I do know that they make kits to do it. Right now I am in Iraq so I have no way of contacting my shop to find out who made the kit, but if you do some searching on the internet you will probably find it. I will try and see If I can find it. GL.

hey I did some research. turns out ford dose have the wire there. all you have to do is go to your local dealer and purchase a "dealer Install cruse control kit" from what I can tell is it only cost $160, and it comes with a new steering wheel with the cruse buttons, a clock spring, a braket for starnderd trans, and a short wiring harness that plugs right in to the existing Ford harness. from what I gather its like a plug and play type deal. gl
