Ford 9 inch question
do the carrier bearings on a nine inch press onto the carrier or are they in the caps? i know this sounds like a stupid question but i just ordered a locker and i didnt get bearings. hopefully i can get bearings for it at the parts store

The bearings are pressed onto the carrier. The housing has what looks like main bearing caps on an engine that hold adjusting rings and the outer raceway for the bearings. Turning the rings in and out moves the carrier left-to-right and is how you set the mesh pattern with the pinion.
