Thanks to everyone who contributed info. on this mod. Just finished it on my '06. I used the BCP wire & the #4 upfitter switch. Couldn't be easier.

Thanks for the link. I read thru the sixteen (16) page bulletin. Great info. I once had someone ask if I were an electrician; and my response was that I was a two wire hook up; alas, another friend said he thought I was a three wire ... up.
Thus, with the number of wires involved, maybe later in the year! Thanks, What that Special Vehicle Engineering reaffirms to me is the brain power and thought behind our Ford vehicles.

on mine an 08 f 250 5.4 i did a while back and it works fine i put mine on up fitter SW # 4 which boosts the rpm up to 900 rpm and a pot SW which goes the rpm up to 1500 rpm nick it sounds like something did not get wired up right on your end as it took me a few trys to get it wired up right when i did mine

Does anyone know if this mod will work on a 04 F-450 V10?

The truck Iam looking to buy has a electric over hydraulic crane on it and this would be really handy to have to rev the engine up when running the crane to keep the batterys up. I know this truck doesn't have the upfitter switchs, but Iam going to build a switch box for this and my work lights.

Thanks
James
