Highboy saved from the reaper, engine question

Well I just couldn't pass it up, I have added another classic to the stable, a 75 Highboy, 4 speed. Pretty rough around the edges, but mechanically well taken care of. It looks right at home next to the 76 shortbed and 77 XLT. The prior owner decided to step up a body style and took the engine with.

Now for the good news and bad news. Prior owner ran a 429 in the truck so its already set up for a 429/460 (good news)unfortunately I don't have access to either at the moment (bad news). I do have access to either a 360 or a 400 (either with bellhousing). Don't really want to use the 360 as I don't want to undo everything that was done to run the 429. So the question is, will the 400 mate up with the towers on the frame? or will I have to modify such?

I think that the towers you have will work. You will need different motor mounts. I put a 460 in my Highboy where there used to be a 351m. I just had to change the motor mounts is all.

I am putting a 460 in a 70 highboy. I had a 360 FE. According to L&L products I have to replace the perches (towers to some) and the motormounts.
