Question about tire size

Gents,

I just picked up a '90 Bronco II with the 2.9 and a 5 speed, and the stock suspension.

It's got these little tires on it. . .

I would like to know what's the largest tire size I can get under the wheelwells without them rubbing?

Thanks,

S.

Without any rubbing at all?? Probably about a 225/75R15. I run 235/75R15's and get minor rubbing at extreme suspension flex and/or turning.

I know without a lift the biggest you can run is 31x10.50's because I did on mine. I took it offroad as well and never had any rubbage, and I could turn the wheel from lock to lock without a problem. You can also fit 265's under there as well.

Hey, just bought super swampers on mine(like 29 inch). They are very high and narrow(that's how I like it!). Payed 80$ per piece. I think the best tires you can get
Just my 2 cents

Klim,

Yep, high and narrow is the way to go.

I just dropped a set of four 135 75 r15s on the truck.

They fill the wheelwell pretty well.

I'm turning this truck into a "drivers" Bronco II - if there's ever such a thing!

Thanks for the info,

S.

I have a Ranger 4x4 with 235/75R-15 LT tires and the fronts rub a little with the steering wheel locked in either direction. I'm buying a pair of mud tires and will have to trim a little here and there.
