5 level setting fuel upgrade?

I got the black box off ebay that says it gives you 80 hp or so when turn all the way up . hooks up to some wire under my plastic cover on the engine.on the first level everything is fine and alittle more power but 2 thru 5 the truck is good out the gate but as soon as I get to about ten psi then she boggs just for about 3 secs then the check engine light comes on and then the monster comes out and everything is fine as long as the light is on I can feel the difference. is there something I can do to fix this? also got the banks big hoss in the mail on the way do you think these can work together and where do you hook hoss up to ? got it from private owner so no directions.

i believe the SES (check engine light) is caused by a high-boost condition. when the MAP sensor reads more than 24-27 psi, it sets off the check engine light. nothing to worry about. i think this could help you: http://www.blackclouddiesel.com/Ford/ourfordstuff.htm scroll down to the "dual relief valve. then read the description, i believe that is you. there is a picture of that on the right.

I,ve got the big hoss chip also. It plugs into the ecm, disconnect - battery terminal, lossen up your inner fender well, come at ecm from the top, below the drivers side hood hing, loosen the cannon plug bolt slide it forward and down between the inner and out fender. Then remove the plastic cover on the aft end of the ecm, plug in the big hoss chip put some tape over it and just put it back in. you should be ready to go.

I read it as he already has it installed. That is why he is asking why is it bogging down for a period of about 3 seconds. Form the sound of it, it sounds something like a 10k mod. Some one will come along with the OBS and help hopefully.
