Double trailers in MO
A couple weeks ago I saw a Dodge dually extended cab pulling a 36' tri-axle Holiday Rambler 5th wheel towing a tandem axle car hauler with a mud-bogger on it. NO WAY was that legal in Wisconsin but until there is enforcement people will do it. It's like that looter that was questioned on TV about why he was looting. He said something to the effect of, "Well, if it was wrong there would be a policeman there to tell me I couldn't do it."
I am not sure, but I think you are bound by local laws when it comes to things like this I have never been able to confirm though.. If I travel to say Illinois for example, do I have to drop the boat off the back of the 5th wheel, or because I live in MO is it legal???
I am not from MO, but I always wondered...
I remember when I was a teenager, my cousin and I took an office trailer to Erie and he mentioned something about his truck and trailer length was over for all 3 states we went in. I noticed too as when we stopped to sleep at a truck stop, his setup was longer than the semis with 53' trailers.
