4.9 six cylinder

I have a 17' travel trailer that weights 3100 lbs empty, probably 3800 lbs loaded.
Will my 96 F150 with 4.9 auto trans and 3.55 gears pull it ok.

That setup should work fine for you. Electric brakes would be an excellant idea.

The 4.9 will pull it...it won't pull it very fast, but it will get you to where you are going. I had an '87 F150 with the 4.9 and have pulled over 10,000lbs with it, I probably wouldn't do it again, but it will do it.

The 4.9 I6 is a great motor. The torque of that motor, being a gasser, is flat out amazing. I've regularly towed 6k with our 95 F150, 4.9, 3.55 truck, and its done fantastic. Since you have electric brakes, you will be all set.
