As a follow-on to my previous posting about power windows, I recently bought some 2003 Honda Pilot power bucket seats on ebay and, when I return home from overseas in October, I'll tackle installing them. My truck has a Ron Francis wiring kit (which was installed by a custom shop) and, according to them, has some empty terminals that I can tie into for various power applications. Any hints or suggestions regarding the wiring of the power seats?? Thanks/Bob.
Hello Bob, Welcome to the board.
I don't know about Honda seats, but GM seat typically have the motors, relays, etc already attached to the seats so basically all you need is a power and ground to the seat. I would think it would be fairly easy to tap into and accessory teminal on the fuse block and run the wire.
I've got buckets out of a Taurus in my '53, and the driver's seat is power. If I remember right, all I had to do was give it a power lead, and a ground. I'm pretty sure you could use one of your accessory outlets on your current fuse box. You just might want to check as to what size fuse you might need.
