pulling my travel trailer this weekend i noticed that after running the truck all day, when i stopped for fuel my turbo would not (spool up) build pressure during 1st and 2nd gear 3rd gear the turbo finaly spooled up. when parked for a couple hours the turbo would spool up normaly through the entire gear range.. then once warmed up it would start acting up again... It even did it with the trailer unhooked.. I have never experienced anything like this.. nothing got hot maybe 900 degrees post turbo says the guages.. by the way its a 2004 cc4x4 psd with an 03 build date with approx 37000 miles on the odemeter. any ideas would be appreciated thanks...
My psd is in the shop right now for the same problem (along with others). I also have an 04 cc 350 with an 03 build date.
It has 27000 on it. already replaced turbo and egr. tech say he will double check the turbo. he is replacing turbine inlet tube first, because of an exhaust leak, which could be affecting the ebp sensor.
I almost got rear-ended by a little rice car the other day because my truck won't get out of it's own way. I will post what the tech finds when I get my truck back thur/fri.
well, still don't have my truck back yet. I did talk to the tech though and he is going to replace the turbo again. he said that the turbos' they use to replace on my truck ('04 w'03 build date) are not availible new so they are remans. also he is replacing they supply and return oil lines to the actuator due to contamination problems. hopefully this will correct a few of my problems, the only time the truck runs good is first thing in the morning before the sun is up.
