i have the 55 f100 with the 223 I6 and std 3 spd trans. i dont really like the 3 on the tree, and would prefer the floor shifter...but what kit do i need to buy. for a new guy in the f truck circle, its very confusing.

somebody on here has surely replaced their column shift with the floor shift, so which brand/kit and part # did you use? how bad was the install?

 

I see lots of people using the Ididit steering column with tilt. Since you want the shifter on the floor the column will be cheaper. I bought one for another project I'm working on, It was around 300.00 dollars. I haven't installed it yet so I'm not sure on the difficulty of installation.
