I have a '65 shortbox that is wimbeldon white over tropical turquoise and I need a small amount of paint. Does anyone know where I can get a spray can of tropical turquoise, preferably on line. Thanks.
The autoparts store, and even Wal Mart in the automotive section, have several different size spray cans and touch up paint for a lot of different manufacturers paint colors. All you need is your paint code and you should be able to find it.
www.expresspaint.com has a "manual order form" (for vehicles older than 94) and say they can get any factory color. I don't know how much $ it is though. Good luck!
Depending on your location, some parts stores that mix paint can put custom colors into rattle cans, too. Not that cheap, but works pretty well. Someone also makes a glass jar with a screw-on aerosol can--mix a part of paint with some thinner and spray it. Also works pretty well.
go to an autobody supply store, they can mix up the original color....if you are touching up original paint though the shading will most likely be different though.....Its not cheap, but its the correct paint at least :-)
I've had excellent luck matching the wimbledon white and the Caribbean Turquoise for my F250 at www.levineauto.com
They sell it with or without the clear finish added in and both have matched nicely. I prefer the the clear finish included because it saves an extra step. Looks pretty!
