Which 6sp do I have?
I was going through the new owners manual for an 05 and saw there are 2 variations of the 6sp. I have an 02 with a 6sp and a 7.3. I didn't know they made 2 kinds of 6sp trannies. Which one do I have and what is the real difference?

Never mind I found it with some serious research from ZF site. It seems the gas engines get one version of the S6-650 and diesel gets a high torque version of the same transmission. Gas engines can be upgraded to the HT version, but diesels cannot use the gas versions. Intersting bit on lubes too. It seems GM versions recommend Castrol synthetic lube which is supposed to be a lifetime fill vs. Ford Mercon std lube. Seems many types are approved for use in the ZF transmission but shift quality may be degraded if heavier lubes are used.
