I consider it Chattanooga but my phisical address is in Apison. We don't even have a gas station here. If you blink you would miss the town but drive right past my house.

I live in a "STEALTH TOWN" myself, if the country store closed, nobody would know it was there.

No rest for the wicked Worked Saturday and Sunday, and was busier than all get-out. Spent part of today trying to catch up on the paper war.

Okay, let's see. Worked Saturday, (normal thing) but I get a 4 day weekend, I don't go back to work till Thursday.

Saturday after work I got beer. My buddy showed up with his wife, with another case of beer. Drank till about 2:30 or 3.

Got up at 7:30 to start our day, grabbed breakfast at a local diner. Hit the highway, picked up my buddy's 8 year old sister and went to the PNE. http://www.pne.ca/ (Us BC people know what I'm talking about.) Went on a bunch of rides, saw some motorcross, well, dirtbikers doing rock solids, cliff hangers, supermans, nothings, etc. Saw a monster truck do a donut. Went on some more rides, till the little girl's mom came and got her. Then we went to the beer gardens for a couple beers. Got something to eat, then tried to leave. My buddy got sucked into watching a free jewelery giveaway. 15 minutes I'll never get back. And we never got any free jewelery. Anyway, we get back home about 1 in the morning, dead tired.

Yesterday, got up, put a pot of coffee on, started watching CSI till my guests woke up. The wife went out to the car and broke out some wedding pictures. Not a bad looking bunch if I may say so myself. Anyway, my wife calls about 9, on her way home from Saskatchewan, just the far side of Kamloops, she got a speeding ticket. 125 in a 90 zone, $200 fine. I thought it was funny. Well, back to loading up my friend's car. Going home. But wait, they forgot to do some shopping. So my wife wouldn't be home for a while, I'd go with them, in my truck so I got a ride home. They're following me, till I realize I can't remember if I locked the front door. Wave them around, and tell them to meet me at the mall. Sure enough, the door was locked. High tail it into Langley, get a prime parking spot. Met up, his wife went off to get some clothes. We went to Sears and looked at some tools. Then we went to the food court, and asked ourselves why we ever got married. Oh, to be young again, because we'd surely go to jail if we ever tried something being as old as we are.

Well, about 1 pm, they call it. Time to go home. They're both back at work today. He had the weekend off, she's a grade 2 teacher. She had the summer off. They're both still not liking the idea of going back to work, so I rub it in. I still got 2 1/2 days.

And here I am now. Still a good 2 days left.

Went down to a buddies field @ Noon on Saturday and popped open the first beer. Took tractor and dug a 100' mud hole.
Pumped water from the creek in it.
Invited ~40 people down there.
An Explorer on 42's, Several 77-79 F-150's on 36-44's, a 1996 F-150 on 38's, a 79 Bronco on 44's running a 514 on pure Alcohol, and a '79 Toyota on 40's, just to name a few of the trucks down there.
Got drunk
Went 'bogging with my ATV
Watched the other drunks screw around in the mud hole.

It was fun!

Heck, this is every weekend....not just special occasions

Woke up at 6:00, drove out to the beach, grabbed some taquitos, sat on the tailgate and watched the sun come up over the Gulf. Walked along the beach for a while looking at all the neat stuff Emily and Katrina had washed up on the beach.

Inspected a abandoned/washed up 32" TV and wondered if it still worked. Drove down the beach, found a package of lasagna noodles next to an abandoned mattress and made some slightly cheeky beach art. Wondered if my truck could pull a huge 3'x40' piece of driftwood out of the sand (woulda tried it but some lowlift stole my tow strap out of the bed of my truck while I was at class). Drove all the way down the length of the beach and headed back at 10:00 when it started to rain.

Got home, slept till 2:00, ate some Popeye's chicken, went back to sleep till 8:00, then spent the rest of the night bidding on E-bay stuff that I don't need.

All in all, a very unproductive and normal day for me!

You know what I did this Labor Day weekend? NOTHING!! And it was fantastic. I opened up the recliner, I poured a glass of my favorite scotch, got out 1 ice cube, sat back in my recliner, and let the breeze flow through the apartment as I did things like, watch golf, watch football, and watch racing.

Oh....I showered a few times and washed my car.

Motored from Maryland to N.C. Sat morning, back Mon afternoon. Saw a totally burned up (not a bit of paint anywhere) station wagon (30 min backup on I 95) going down. Saw a rolled over pickup (another 30 Min backup) on I 95 going home. Wagon was still smoking, pickup looked like a Toyota, hard to tell. Two people had a bad holiday!
