guages not working

guages not working
Only guage I have working are speedo.
Checked the obvious connections etc appear to be good, we did some wiring in the engine compartment recently, I know it's an incredbily vauge descrition of the problem, an suggestions questions to get me in te right direction to start troubleshooting would be appreciated.

I've ditched the 35 year old guages and bought some relitively inexpensive ones that look really nice. You can even cut out the middle portion of your dash bezel, and make a custom wood, graphite or whatever to place some new guages into.

sounds like the constant voltage regulator, it's on the back of the dash, it controls how much power goes to the gauges.
