I think that would be MY TRUCK
1979 F350,4x4,NP435,5:13 gears,Detroit locker in rear with hardened shafts,ABR in the front,360 with 428 crank & rods,390 HP heads,Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch,MSD Ignition,39.5x18 Boggers,bucket seats out of a Lightning,& a Southern Body that is perfect.
1997 F350 PowerStroke 4X4,36 Inch Super Swampers, Strait Piped, Chiped, Propane Injected, LUK Clutch

My idea of the ultimate '73-'79 would be a 1978 F350 Ranger Lariat camper special, with every factory option that Ford offered then.
The reason I picked '78 is because it was the last year of leaded gas in Ford trucks, and last year before all the polution stuff that was added in '79.
Anyone ever see a Lariat with camper special????

It is '79 F250 super cab, 4X4, 4 speed, 460, air.
Will add leather seats, 3" lift, mag wheels and bigger tires, new paint.

So far it sounds like my 78 Non-Leaded fuel,every option ford ever had,that pulls a trailer with my 429 is in the lead.

Not all of them. 79 trucks with GVW over 8500 ran leaded. But more smog crud, I think. My 79 F350 is leaded, with no crap since it was certified with '78 emissions. Woohoo.

Yep, seen a few. Regular and Supercab. Also seen an F350 Lariat with Trailer Special.
