671?

Hey guys, what is a 671 blower? I have heard all sorts of numbers, but this one I hear a lot. What are these numbers? Also, I'm looking to get around 800 horses out of a built 302 that I'm coming up with. What size supercharger will I need? ANybody with ideas or experience, feed information to me. I want fuel injection. I want the scoop sticking through my hood. I want *****! Thanks guys.

Ok...6-71 means it came from a 6-71 GMC diesel. What that actually means is it was a 6 cylinder with 71 ci per cylinder. They made alot of configurations of these two stroke motors. They made a V style 671 too(instead of inline). They made alot of large sizes too. It's basically modular design allowed it to just add cylinders(like 16 or more) They also made a 53 ci size motor too(Like 3-53 ro 4-53), and the new design is 92 ci per cylinder, but most now are 4 stroke meaning no blower is needed(they are turbo charged though)

Just some basic info for you.
As for what do you need?? A 671 is more than adequate, but any more it's overkill and the new underhood designs are better. If you want eye appeal, then the big one will work. Just get ahold of BDS, or Mooneyham, or any of the blower companies and they can sell you a manifold and drive. BDS offers a nice birdcatcher scoop with fuel injection. Give them a shout.
