I remember trying to get to a customer's constr. site once in the company 89 f350 diesel. Their tracks lead right into the Harpeth River and back out the other side. Didn't look too deep, but when I ran it in there the water was over the door handles! Made it to the other side, but the bumper was hanging on the opposite bank and wouldn't climb out, so I had to back it all the way back across, trying to hurry, as water was seeping in all around. Finally got it back on land, after killing and re-starting the engine a couple of times. Opened the doors and let the water out and went on my merry way. Finally found the customer and a better crossing about a 1/2 mile down the trail. Now THAT's some water to drive through.
