Computer Question

First off I have MAF conversion, pull'n my codes, as I should I got a code 85 for canister purge,67 for the clutch switch, these are the koeo codes I put a new clutch switch in and it works ( it will not start w/ out the clutch pushed in now) and i was try'n to erase the codes. I unhooked the batt. cables left'em off over night and the codes are still there. Any ideas on how to get the codes reset?

The wire that you used to jump the two EEC test connectors together gets disconnected BEFORE you turn off the key. That clears the codes.

Disconnect it after you turn off the key, the codes remain in memory for future reference.

You need to have the clutch depressed while doing the KOEO test, if you do not...code 67 pops up.

I betcha code 85 comes up because of the same situation I have...I have the MAF kit as well...

I recently observed all the engine wiring and noticed that the signal for the CANP doesn't follow through to the computer. That 60 pin MAF conversion plug doesn't let the wire connect through to the computer. Therefore, the computer sees no connection to the CANP solenoid and throws a code.

On my truck, the clutch switch doesn't interface with the computer at all. I had a constant code 67 when I was running mass air due to this. I jumpered the clutch switch pin to signal return, pin 46 to get rid of that code. If those are the only two codes you have, though, I woulnd't worry about it too much unless you can't get into the KOER test.

That clutch switch could be a reason why one would not be able to get into the KOER test?

It seemed to be when I ran mass air. I jumped the clutch pin to the signal return and no more code 67 and I could run the KOER test. I could not get into that test without jumpering this wire.
