Code 335 (pressure feedback EGR)

Ok I have had a check engine light on for a while and had a code for my Intake air temp sensor not working and also code 335 which says pressure feedback EGR (PFE) snesor or EGR pressure transducer (EPT) - signal voltage higher or lower than expected. I fixed the Intake air temp sensor and both of the codes went away. Its been like 2 weeks now and the code 335 comes on now at random times. I think I have figured out its when I am engine braking at high RPM's. What could this be? Any ideas would be helpful. Just incase this helps my truck is a 94 4cy ranger manual. FTE has never let me down before.

Well, best to grab a Haynes manual and study the EGR diagnosis section in Chapter 6.

I would check the hoses running to the DPFE sensor and you may have to check that tube running from the EGR to the exhaust.

I had a code 332 and the two hoses I mentioned were the problem. One was cut off (bottom half somehow), but they were both in crummy shape.

The Haynes should have voltage or resistance value that you can check the indicated sensors against before you toss money out the door.
