clutch fluid

I just have started working on a '60 F100 (292 Y-block 3-speed in the floor) and the clutch pedal lets out right on the floor. I checked the clutch master cylinder and could not touch any fluid. Then I got to wondering what kind of fluid went in there. Hydraulic, brake fluid, transmission fluid, oil? I know it a smiple question, but I didn't want to mix any fluids in the master cylinder. Thanks for any help

Just old fashion Dot 3 brake fluid.. maybe ur cluch disk is worn out

Does your truck's clutch slave cylinder have an adjustable rod? If so that is the way to get the "catch" point adjusted, within limits. Seems likely Madathlon has hit it on the head, clutch is worn out.
