Auto floor shifter

Anyone know where to get a floor shifter for a truck? I am going from a M5OD to an AOD when I do my engine swap. It will have an auto/manual valve body so I need it to be where I can reach it to shift.

I have looked on Summit and a few other sites, but can only find the short car style shifters.

I don't think having to reach for it while getting bounced around while running the mud drags would be to fun.

I plan to switch to race style seats after the beating from buying the motor, building it, transmission, etc. is over.. So after I put in race seats the short shifter wouldn't be a problem, but for now do any of you know where to find a floor style shifter for a TRUCK?

Im not sure exactly what type of shifter you are looking for. if your looking for a ratcheting floor shifter for a truck, summit sells one made by hurst. if you look on the summit web site and search for hurst indy truck shifter, it will come up. they run about 85 bucks. like i said, not sure if this is the kind your looking for, but just thought id mention it. just out of curiosity, could a fellow use one of these shifters with a 4r70w tranny?

B&M sells a truck floor shifter called the Mega Shifter. I put one in my 65 when I installed the AOD it. You also need a conversion transmission mounted shift lever, that replaces the lever mounted on the AOD valve body. I first tried flipping the stock tranny lever so it faces down, but I couldn't get the full shift range (2-od).

I couldn't find the Hurst indy truck shifter, I did find the B&M one, but at $175 + $50 for the install kit is a bit on the high side. If I can't find anything else I guess I'll bite the bullet and get it, or get a cheaper one and build an aluminum stand for it.

Thanks for the reply's, if anyone else knows of one let me know.

Floor shifters are a bit expensive.

Check around on Ebay, and online.
Summit can be high on their prices IMO.

Go with the B&M or the Hurst!

Watch your cable run for the tranny too, dont want it to pinch and break.
Go through about 1 a year on the bogger.
Currently have to crawl under the truck to put it in gear. hahaha.

Stick a c6 in that mo too!
