differences in tailgates?

hey guys
what are the major differences in the 48-50 tailgates
versus the 51-52 tailgates?

The only differences is the chain bracket . The 1948 - early 1950 (chain bracket at top of roll). Late 1950-1952 ( chain bracket below roll).

The tailgates from 1948 -1950 should fit 1950-1952 .

THe gates fit, but you can't use the hooks in thier present location. late gates on earlier trucks, you'd need to move the triangular brackets down. Early gates on later trucks, you'd have to move the long bolt and chain up.
