4x4 trans heat

While in 4 wheel drive low only, and heavy load, or up high steep grades in cold wheather the trans heat always climbs. In cold weather just the truck, 10 mph 220 f. In the sand with trailer, rev's some time to keep on top, I let it stand at a stop, pegged the gauge and dumped 3 quarts fluid. Any others have this problem. Is there a better tork converter that locks better?. Thanks for your in put guys!!! My truck 99 ps cc lb 4x4 auto trans.

ATS, or BTS are the first that comes to mind. I know ATS ones are great, a lil spendy though. there are a ton more, i just can't think of them.

go with a single disk converter. I am pretty sure yours is a twin disk converter, there always noise, and prone to dieing.

Thank you diesel rod. I have the stock convertor and it sucks. It does make noise some times I want to find one that lasts when I tow. Maybe it will lock up earlier for mileage also. Thank you again!!
