I went to get a filter & gasket set for my c6 and found that Fram lists 3 different kits. It's a 460/c6 combo in a 78 f150 4x4 so I know it's not original.
If I could find the part number on the tranny, I could decode it. Anyone know where it is?
Is there any other way of telling what year/vehicle it came from?
Buy all 3, drop the pan, use the one that closet matches what you have, take the other 2 back. One is for the 4wd, one has the oil pickup nearly touching the pan, the other should give about 3/4" clearance. Use the one that matches what you have.
