Post 351 injector specs

does anyone know what the specs are for the injectors in a 88 F-250 with a 5.8L (351w). I want to upgrade to larger injectors. Thanks...Blaine

Should be 19lbs/hr. What color are they?

If you don't even know what size they are why do you think you need to upgrade? The stock 19s(Orange) took my truck a long ways.

Not much point to stepping up a size unless you do other mods as well. Just sticking larger injectors in isn't going to give you a big boost in power.

my 5.8 is a 1985, bored .030 over, has crane cam with .456/.484 lift, 260/272 duration, the heads have been ported, gasket matched, valves are same size as 1969 specs, have flowtech shorty headers, and true dual exhaust. I would like to put an aftermarket throttle body on it, so I was trying to figure out how much bigger I needed to go with the injectors to match up with the throttle body...Blaine

Okay Blaine, that tells us a bit more. Have you done a mass air conversion on it? The mods you've done so far shouldn't make the Speed Density too unhappy, but if you go to a bigger throttle body and larger injectors, it might have a wee bit of trouble trying to figure out what's going on.
But, as to our original question, I think pfogle and Matt95L are right about the stock injectors being 19lbs/hr.

Yes, stockers are 19 lbs/hr. Typically good for about 300 horsepower.

19lb's should be more than adequate for that.

well even if you wanted to go bigger injectors the computer couldnt handle it. if you upgrade to a larger throttle body it wont do much good unless you get a different intake as well.
