tranny or motor problems ?
I was towing a 14 ft by 8 ft trailer with two motorcycles from Ohio thru Kentucky into Virginia when I started getting problem When the rpms were around 1700-2200 it felt like a gasser with a miss and was blowing lots of black smoke. The truck was like bucking and even got really hot and blew alot of coolant out the overflow bottle.It almost felt like the transmission was slipping but I don't know.Then we stopped to rest for like ten minutes and it didn"t do it but this was where there were no hills .Just wondering if anybody else had this problem was and what was the fix.
