Subs in series
Unfortunately the 2 comp 12's i got are 8 ohm subs.... I have heard that you can wire them in series and they will get the power instead of cutting it in half from the 4 ohm amp, is this true and how do i do this? I have a 4 channel amp tho...

With a 4 channel amp, I assume you will want to bridge the 2 rear channels to use with the subs. Therefore, having two 8 ohm subs is NOT unfortunate. Quite the opposite. Wire them in parallel to the bridged channels of the amp for a 4 ohm set up. It depends on the "quality" and the power rating of your amp as to whether it is really suitable. If it is of reasonable quality, 4 ohms on 2 channels bridged together is what you want. Typically. There are amps that are exceptions to every general statement. What kind of amp are we discussing here? Power ratings RMS for amp and subs?

the amp is a kenwood KAC-656x 4 channel, from what i've read its 200 watt. And the subs are just Kickier Comp SVC. And as per it being suitable, i guess so so far, I finished my box this morning and hooked them up in parallel and they pound really good. Played for an hour or so and nothing has changed, and better yet nothing has burned up
