need help with lock replacement fast
ok how the heck do they expect you to change the ignition swith on an 89 ranger non tilt steering wheel when the key has to be in the run position to change it? iu just lost my key and bought a switch but i cant pull the old one out w/o the key. does anyone know of a way i can remove this one? or how do i "hot wire" so i can get to a football game in an hour and a half?

All ignition switches are that way, if you could pull the lock cylinder out without the key in the run position what function would it serve. You have to drill it out, a good manual will have the entire procedure and drill size, etc.
