Going Home....

After staying here for the storm in Guntersville, Al. at my dads house, my wife and I have decided that it is time to go back home to our little town about 60 miles southwest of New Orleans. We have our new route mapped out and will also be filling up the bed of my truck with supplies to take to the people there. Wish us luck.

Be safe and hope all is better than what I've seen from the media?

Just made it back home. Rough trip but it is good to be back sleeping in my own bed. This trip home had to be the most stressful I have ever taken. After crossing into Merridian Ms, and stopping for gas to top off the tank, and finding out that there was no gas and that I was pick pocketed in the mens room, the stress set in. I am only glad that I have an understanding and caring sister in law that was willing to wire us $100 to finish getting home on. I am also glad that I had the sense to carry 4 full 5 gallon cans of gas with us, cause even if I hadnt gotten robbed, no gas was available for purchase. Tommorrow I will be bringing some of the supplies that I brought back to a local shelter. Overall, the ride was rough but worth it, cause in the end we will get the chance to help out some of the less fortunate. Thanks for all of your prayers.
