I am considering a upgrading my two barrel to a four. i will need a manifold to match. Will I have to have the heads machined to match the new manifold or will it bolt right in place? Also, will be going with some headers, any sugggestions?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Aug-02 AT 00:25 AM (EST)] An Edelbrock Performer will bolt right up with no machining required. It is the best intake for the money and the rpm range is perfect for a truck. I have the Dynomax headers on my truck. They aren't the best out there, but for the money, they can't be beat. The fitment was good and they seal good too. I've had mine on my 460 for quite awhile now and have no complaints.
Just a hint, follow the retorquing proceedures that come with any headers. This is vital to long gasket life.
Oh, and if you don't have a carb yet, I would recommend the 600 Edelbrock. They have good throttle responce and good power with minimal adjustments.

I have a Weind Action+ intake with a Holley 750 double-pumper. I think it's OK but the Edelbrock may be better. I've always wondered if I made the right decision. I use the Dynomax headers and I have no regrets. They've been on for 7 years with no leaks.:-)
