How loud is your fuel pump?
I have a 90 BII, 5spd, 120k miles. My go to work vehicle. I have been noticing a noise at idle that sounds like something with a bearing about to go out. Not real subtle, you can hear it over the engine idle. Took a while to track it, I'm sure its the electric fuel pump. Sound kind of comes from the back of the vehicle. Pump sounds good when I first turn the key, but let it run a while...
Guess I better dig up the manual and get to work. Has any one changed their pump? Did it start sounding bad or just die? Mistakes to avoid?
