When I originally put the exhaust on, I was one of the few in town that had them out the corners on 45*s. Also before I bought the tips, I asked around, and a lot of the guys said that they wouldn't go longer than 18" because of the amount of weight hanging free. .. They'll either bobble around, or if there is any rust behind the tip, snap off. Magnaflow makes some 22" tips, but I opted for the 18"s... Got em on ebay.
Oh, the other style I like, if you do 90* out the sides, they make a 15* slash... Pretty classy too. Just a thought
damne bear hunter thats a nice looking rig, anyways i have some pics in my gallery of the dual out the side forward of the right rear, both on the same side lightining style i guess youd call it, but the problem is they are stainless so you gotta polish them to make them look good and i am putting track bars in the rear and they are going to get in the way so i gotta have them come out in the back for the extra room
I have also been wanting to put a larger tip on my exhaust. Been thinking of a 4" stainless Magnaflow. I have been told over time the exhaust heat will slightly discolor the stainless tip to a goldish tint...is this true?
The only time I've ever seen my tips discolor is after an 8 hour, non-stop, 75-80mph road trip. They were gold when I got out of the truck, a brownish after they cooled, then after a wash, they're good as new. If it's a cheap tip, I don't doubt that they discolor permanantly. I have magnaflow tips and they still look great
I saw the one I want it is double walled so that the outside will not tarnish looked very sweet. Rolled slash tip best one I have seen. It was either 4" or 3 1/2" stainless.
Dynamic, I'm in Westboro, just east of Worcester until Monday, then I'll be heading back to school in Westfield, which is an hour west of here. I LOVE the way it sounds--Nothin but compliments. Lemme know if you're still interested... Westboro is about 45 min from Providence just to give you some idea of the distance
