Crank installation help

Hey everyone, I'm rebuilding my 460 right now, and we got the crank in and tightened the mains down. Then we had to take the mains back off for something (I forget what at the moment) and put them back on. The first time we tightened them down, the crank would spin easily by hand. After the second time, you can still spin it by hand, but it is much harder to do. Any advice? Thanks, Austynn.

Are all the caps on the correct journal. Are they all facing the right way. Take them off one at a time until you find the one/s that are binding. Plastigauge each journal. You know you gotta find it. Don't let anyone tell you that it will wear in. You will end up spinning a bearing, or worse. Good luck.

Sounds like holland is giving you good advise. One or more of the caps is not back on like it was before.

Hmmmmmm, I'm thing the rear main seal was left out the first time the main caps were installed. Now with the seal in place the crank will turn a little harder, especially if the seal is rope. Or not. Just a thought.
