Engine Swap
I want to swap out my 223 engine for a 300 with a C-4 tranny.Here is my problem I know I will have to buy after market cross members for the motor and tranny.Will the ones for a 302 V8 work for the 300 I-6 or will have to go with a V8?

None of the current cross members are correct for the 300's mounts.
I fabricated a new tube steel crossmember for my sons 62 F250 to mount the 300 six along with a 84 TOD over drive.

Yes, I belive you can use a small block V8 swap kit for a 300. Be aware that there is some chopping to do on the stock tranny mount. The 300/small block v8 setup is 2 motor mounts, one tranny mount.
That's the opposite of a '64.
