Digital dash problem
This is a strange one and can't find an aswer in my Aerostar Service Manual. It is a 1993 EB ext, 4.0. My dash lights go black when ever I touch the brake pedal! The dash lights fine when the key is turned on and when the engine is started except when you step on the brake it goes black!! I checked altenator output and it is about 14.5 V at idle & at 2000 Rpm. Any ideas out there in the brain trust?? Thanks, Harry

You may be right about the ground. The brake lights work perfectly. Sometimes the dash lights up perfectly, other times it blacks out. Thanks for the lead, I have an ETVM manual. Only manual I don't have is for the 4.0 engine.
