superchips custom tuner?
will the superchips custom tuner work on my 2003 2.0 liter escape with a manual transmission? my computer code is vvy1.
I'm looking for fuel effeicency more than power up grades, can this chip be programed to do that?
and can it program my vehicle to run on the alternate fuel ethonal like the explorer and several other ford flexible fuel vehicles? if not how can i get my escape to run on ethonal.

Yes it will work. We'd need to send you a blank Xcalibrator to read your PCM because SCT doesn't currently have that code in their database.
The primary function of a tuner is power. While the typical driver will see a 1-2 mpg mileage increase, this is only with a premium fuel tune so your fuel costs remain about the same. I can program a tune for 87 octane for a little (1 mpg) extra mileage but you'll lose power.
There are considerations beyond the tune for running with alcohol. The fuel lines and seals much be made specifically to withstand the alcohol.
