Corrosion again!?

I just replaced the battery cables in my 1991 Ford Explorer EB because the vehicle wouldn't start. Car has run fine since the replacement approx 2 months ago. Looked under the hood today and noticed a significant amount of greenish colored corrosion around the positive battery cable connector. What does this suggest? I'd hate to have to replace the cables again if I can prevent it now. By the way, this is the same cable that showed corrosion prior to the replacement. Should I replace the battery? I had Autozone test the battery before I replaced the cable and they said it was fine...don't know if that means anything or not! Help!?

Corrosion on the cable ends can be a sign of a failing battery. If the battery checks out okay you could buy the treated felt washers to try to stop the corrosion.

There is also an anti corrisve spray that comes in a can. Clean up the battery posts and cable ends and spray both. As an added measure add the felt washers. This should give you full protection for less than $10.
