Hello, I have a 1988 f250 7.3 4x4 I dont have a tranny tag how can you tell if its a e4od tranny or c-6. Thanks

does yours have a overdrive switch

the c-6 has only 3 speeds forward and no electronic control and as stated above, no overdrive button on the end of the shift selector.

just look at the pan. the pan on a c-6 is a big square with a little rectangle attached.
