por 15?
hey i was thinking about spraying my truck with por 15 i think it is( hot rod black) until i get set on what color i really want to paint it, but my question is, can i spray it with my hvlp gun or do i need to spray it with my primer gun?

I shot my frame with my primer gun with no problems. POR-15 does have the Isocynates which is a health concern, so read up on the precations and safety issues. My chassis paint from POR-15 is not UV resistant...but they may have other products that are.

yes, check the safety procedures, and clean the gun right after use. They are not kidding when they say dried material wont come off. Plain lacquer thinner works. Supposedly you have to use their "tie-cote" primer over por-15, I have had good luck by spraying regular primer over por-15 before it dries. To answer your question, either gun will work ok just clean them afterwards.
