still hot

Well, I changed the fan clutch and it has improved, but still the needle is closer to the top of the normal bracket. About 1/4 from the top. It runs hotter at high speeds, cooler when idling. How can I check the heater core? The heater blows hot. Tomorrow I'll change the thermostat.

If your heater core is stoped up you will not have any heat,Try this while at hwy speed turn on the heater on floor setting and see if you have heat, if so run the heater run and see if the temp goes down{engine temp}If the temp gos down any your radeator is stoped up. You can get it cleanded out but the age of it I would just get a new one.

New one's aren't too expensive either, especially for the price that it will save you.
