86 Specs

Does anyone know the towing capacity for an 86 f150 with a 4.9 I6 with a 3.08 rearend.

also, does anyone know the horsepower and torgue for this vehicle?

I think because of the 3.08 rearend, it will be something like 2000lbs. A 3.55 rearend more than double the capacity. Not sure about the hp and torque.

My Ford owners manual shows 2 specs, 2000 and the 2000 to 2600, not a lot different. 3,55 gears are lumped in with 3.73, shows up to 4000. Those are manual specs. Auto shows up to 5000 with 3.08. 3.55, 3.50 shows up to 6200.

HP should be around 125 or so and torque in the 260's. I've pulled 14K with mine, 4.10 gears Granny tranny, on a GN last fall going from farm to farm. so 35mph max following an old IH with a 6-71 loaded with 50K of hay.
