I was wondering about the driving lights in the bumper I have seen trucks with just their driving lights on but mine only turn on with the headlights! Is there some way to by pass the headlights to run the driving lights by themselves or not or do some trucks just have that option?
follow the wires and then isolate them from the head lights then attach them to a switch (non automatic on/off) or ignition switch's on position (automatic on/off)
If by, "driving lights in the bumper" you are referring to the fog lights, my 99 came from he factory wired to operate the fog lights, with just the parking lights on, too.
Normally the fogs are switched on only with low beam head lights, but I've also found if the fogs are on & I hold the "flash to pass" lever UP, it'll allow the high beam, low beam & fog lghts to be on at the same time, for those "special occasions" when you need all the photons you can muster!!!!.
My lights only work with the headlights on I wish they worked with just the parking lights! I wonder why they are different from 98 to 99?
