If Gas Is Up Why Is A Quart of Oil Down?

hmmm... around here, motocraft has went up quite a bit since the last time we bought it.

I work in auto parts and, yes, the price of oil is going up slowly. But so is everything else. I heard not from my store, but from a (friendly) competitor that the cheap no-name oil will be over $2/quart before too long. For us this is the same oil that is now $1.29/quart, and used to be under a dollar. By then, the good stuff is going to be well over 3, possibly over 4 dollars a quart, and that's going to hurt us track and car guys (and gals) who only run the good stuff through our vehicles becuase it's better on them. Until the economy completely implodes on itself, the consumer will always be the one that get screwed.
