Can't get new distributor into engine
I'm trying to replace the distributor in a '92 E-150, 302.
The new dist goes in a little bit and stops. It feels solid when it stops. The screwdriver is pointed at where it stops.
This is the line-up mark from the old dist. but it doesn't seem to matter where I turn it to it still won't go any father.

It's usually the hex shaft that drives the oil pump that causes the problem. Either you pulled it up a bit when you removed the old distributor and it came out of the oil pump, or it's turned just enough that it won't line up with the hex slot in the distributor and needs to be turned a bit.
Also, grease up that o-ring a bit.
