I have had my 2004 F350 Diesel in 6 times to the shop for the same problem. I am getting ready to take it in for the 7th time. Periodically the truck will drop into tow-haul on its own, and the tow-haul light will flash at me for a while. After a few minutes the light will go solid, and I can then turn the tow-haul off. Additionally, the truck will periodically not start. The electronics are all working, but there is no electrical response at all when the key is turned to the start position. Any ideas?????
Don't know about the tow-haul mode problem. But mine didn't start like yours one time and I called the ford 800 number and they walked me through to start the truck in neutral it seens the safety switch went on the trans. and wouldn't let me start it.

Thanks, did you just drop it into neutral and start as normal, or is there more to it than that?

They told me to turn the key to the very first click. It will only turn a hair. Then put it in neutral and start it up. then you can shift into drive or reverse. Once you put it back into park you have to repeat the process. The dealer fixed it under warranty. Took about 3 hrs. wait with the oil change
