I had kind of a Powerstroke Weekend. Finally had time to put on my gauges. A-pod autometers, very nice look. And also did the "Kwik Filter" mod. I really love that. A weekend working on your truck just for fun is my kind of weekend.
My sister in law told my wife that if I spend as much time with my daughter as I did with my truck, then we'd have a prettty good kid!!! First it aggrevated me, now I just laugh it off, after all, this is coming from a brother in law who will absolutely not change a poopy diaper (big wuss) unless he has gloves on, and a mask. Nonetheless, I just go done putting some new paint/under coating in the rear fender wells, I think it looks pretty sweet. I had a few different colors going on from the new hitch, air bags and some rust starting to form. Now All I need to do is get a couple more cans and get the front done. Then it will really start looking like a newer truck.
A friend of ours said something along the same lines to my wife . She told her he doesn't smoke anymore, doesn't drink as much as he used to, and he doesn't chase women. She's happy.
Well I never get to work on it that much, so my wife doesn't say much. I think she cares more about the money that I spend on mods than the time I spend putting them on. I also changed the fuel filter this weekend. Man did the old one ever look dirty. I may even get a boost in gas mileage after replacing that thing.
heh..! long weekend coming up and i am off..! gonna do some easy stuff... extend the ccv hose... do the zoodad mod, and clean and paint underneath to get her ready for winter... good thing is... the wife is working...! she won't be around to ask me to do anything...! hoooo hooo..!
